The guide centres on retirement and nursing homes, home care and Spitex organisations. The target readership is people responsible for infection prevention and control, the management of the institutions, attending medical professionals, the responsible cantonal offices and industry associations.
This guide summarises various recommendations and aims to protect residents, staff and visitors from acute respiratory infections caused by respiratory viruses (especially influenza, COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)).
The initiative came from retirement and nursing homes and was supported by several partners. The NOSO Strategy contributed to the formulation of the guide.
