Field of action 5: Coordination and governance

To ensure that the vision of NAPS can be realised even under changing conditions, the implementation of the programme is actively managed by the federal government and the cantons. To this end, they are establishing suitable processes and forums for dialogue and coordination.

The federal government and cantons manage NAPS on the basis of the latest findings from science, practice and surveillance.  They take current medical, epidemiological and social developments into account.

The implementation of NAPS is regularly reviewed and adapted if necessary. This ensures that the quality remains high and that the services meet the current needs of the key groups.  The efficiency and effectiveness of the measures are also measured.

A large number of organisations and specialists with different roles and responsibilities are involved in the implementation of NAPS. It’s therefore important to utilise suitable processes and channels for exchange and coordination.
