Parliamentary Motions

Since the Reproductive Medicine Act went into force in 2001, more than 30 parliamentary motions have been submitted on the topic. More than one third of those concern questions surrounding pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).

Motion 04.3439 “Authorisation of pre-implantation genetic diagnosis” played an important role. It prompted an extensive legislative revision, which concluded with a popular vote on 5 June 2016.
